This is why you should think twice when writing song lyrics

I happened to browse around Twitter the other day when I came across a series of tweets that was pretty awesome, kinda hilarious and at the same time served as an eye-opening reminder. A reminder of the fact that you really should give some thought to the lyrics you write to your songs.

So this is what happened. First I came across this tweet.

Blink-182 – All The Small Things Cover Lightroom Preset

Previously I showed how I color corrected the cover of Blink-182 – All The Small Things in Premiere Pro.

This time I tried to create the same look with Lightroom.

The original frame looks like this.

I started by lifting the highlights and whites on the Lightroom’s Basic module. I also increased the temperature a bit.

Then I used SplitToning to achieve similar colors as in Premiere version. I pushed the highlights towards green and shadows towards blue. […] Read more!

Color Correcting Full Band Cover of Blink-182 – All The Small Things

We just released a full band cover of All The Small Things by Blink-182. Check it out!

As many times before, I used two instances of Colorista Free, Unsharp Mask and Circle plugin for color correction. Here’s how the look like on the adjustment layer.

The original frame looks like this. It’s shot with Canon 60D and Tamron 17-50 2.8 VC lens.

New Full Band Cover: Blink-182 – All The Small Things

We’re back with that full band cover we’ve been talking about for so long. This one is nothing short of a Pop Punk classic.

Here you go. Our cover of All The Small Things by Blink-182.

Thanks to our buddy Pete Koski for helping us out with the filming. The footage was filmed on our last couple shows from which we posted live videos earlier.

If you’ve ever made it to some of our shows, you know we like to play a couple cover songs every time. […] Read more!

How to Edit Audio in Premiere Pro CC

When I start to edit our vlogs, I open my template which has a timeline that looks like this. The pink video clip is an adjustment layer that has all the color correction plugins that I use. […] Read more!

New live videos

New year, time for new videos! Well, relatively new at least. The most eager of you have probably already seen these two live videos from the end of last year, but I noticed there’s not a mention of them right here. And since I’d like to think our blog is the go-to place for all things MadCraft, I just have to put them out here. So here we go!

The first one is a take on Never Had The Guts from our show at The Circus, Helsinki. […] Read more!

First shows announced for 2015

2015 is here! We spent a good couple of weeks in holiday hibernation and are now ready to get back in business. We’re working on some new songs and have that full band cover finally coming soon. You know that other one we’ve been talking about for ages.

Anyway. In addition to new songs, 2015 hopefully means a hell of a lot of touring for us. Kicking that off, we’ve announced the first couple shows for this new year. […] Read more!
