A year ago I wrote a blog post about what I want from my next camera. I listed Sony A7S, A7 Mark II and Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II, which I have currently. During this year I also secretly hoped that maybe camera manufacturers will release a new even better camera before I have decided which I buy. The cameras that I hoped to be released were Canon 80D, Sony A7S mark II, and Sony A6000 successor (A6300). […] Read more!
In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve linked each band’s Facebook page to the titles! Go and like bands that you think were great!
Oh Shit!! These guys come from Ohio and they even have a MySpace page!
On Call Heroes was formed by two identical brothers from Canada. Even though I don’t really like their lyrics, it’s quite sad that they posted “RIP OCH” to Facebook in 30th of November last year. […] Read more!
Olympus released a new flat profile dedicated for video in E-M5 Mark 2 firmware update 2.0. The profile makes it possible to shoot less contrast footage, which suits well for post processing. Here’s the same frame shot with flat and muted profiles (sharpness -1, contrast -2, and saturation 0), so you can see the difference. Videos are shot with Olympus 14-42 pancake zoom, and I used the same shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and white balance for each frame pair. […] Read more!
Usually I pick two or three songs from each band to this pop punk playlist, but this time I had to make an exception.
I’ve been returning back to this band so many times that I just had to include 4 of their songs to the list. If something else than MadCraft can be called superpowered then it has to be So Many Ways! The band comes from Chicago and describes them as fast music for fast people. […] Read more!
In my first post about Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark 2 I mentioned that I will write another post about how to customize function buttons. There are six function buttons, two wheels and a switch in E-M5 Mark 2, so there’s plenty of ways to assign your favorite actions. I’ve been using the camera for few months now, so I’m ready to show my layout.
I’ll start with the switch and Fn1. I use the switch to change between auto-focus and manual focus modes. […] Read more!
It seems that this time all the bands that I found are from North America!
Seaway is a Canadian pop punk band and was formed in Oakville. The members of the band have been friends since school, which is quite cool!
From Facebook biografia: Dudes in a band. What else do you need to know? Forever Came Calling is a pop punk band from California. They have quite fast songs, which I like! […] Read more!
I didn’t like the bundled strap that comes with E-M5 Mark 2, so I started looking for something else. Since I never have the strap around my neck, I decided to go for a wrist strap.
When I started the search, I noticed quite quickly that BlackRapid seems to be most bought option around. It is connected to the tripod socket with a screw, which different from most other hand straps. It definitely feels secure and it should be able to carry even heavier cameras. […] Read more!
It’s already the third pop punk Spotify playlist!
Can’t Bear This Party! is a pop punk band from France, or as they call it: pop hardcore band. They say that they’ve played in most European countries, but I bet they haven’t been in Finland! Get over here and take Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! with you!
The Crosstown Rivalry was a pop punk band from New Jersey. […] Read more!
As I said before, the 12-40 2.8 pro lens is relatively big lens in the MFT field and it would be nice to have an external hand grip while using the lens with Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark 2. Olympus has to different hand grips: HLD-8G and ECG-2. In Finland they both retail for 160 euros, which is quite much so.
Olympus HLD-8G has electronics in it. It adds one external shutter button and a headphone out port. […] Read more!
Get ready for the next round of pop punk you’ve never heard but you should. If acronyms such as ATL, BLG, NFG and FTSK make you feel sick, here’s something else in a new Spotify playlist!

Hah! Once again a band from Sweden, this time from Malmö. It’s not easy to find any information about this band, but here’s one interview.
Okay, I’m sure you’ve heard of this one, but when I was looking for new music I hadn’t. […] Read more!
