Hello friends! Time to write about drumming once again. A while ago we uploaded a new drum cover that I’m actually pretty proud of. At the beginning of the whole idea of drum covering, I wanted to test my skills in playing the tougher Blink-182 songs. I guess I also wanted to demonstrate the amazing talent Travis Barker really has in his grooves. To be able to play Blink with drums is not to eat a piece of cake. […] Read more!
Here I am, having a relaxing weekend, time to scrape some blog text! First of all, I have a new drum cover out in case you haven’t noticed. This time we’re serving some All Time Low, the song being one of the many cool tunes off from their latest album Don’t Panic. And by cool I’m foremostly meaning the drum parts. As I have mentioned earlier, I love how the ATL-drummer Rian Dawson has kept his drumming genuine and complex during the years of the band evolving from a small pop punk band to a world-known rock band. Here I am again with another Travis Barker drum cover. We uploaded this one yesterday, and it got a nice ammount of comments straight away. So thanks for them – seems like people really like to follow the occasional the Blink-covers I do. This one’s Stockholm Syndrome from the self-titled album:
To be honest, this one was filmed at the end of last year. We’ve had quite a bunch of covers awaiting for publishing. This song is one of those filler songs for drum cover filming sessions. […] Read more!
Howdy! Been a while since the last drum cover. The reason being this one time-consuming competition we had. But now that it’s over we’re finally back to the routine of doing all this stuff including new songs, gigs and of course the drum covers! It felt surprisingly good to be back behind the drums after the UMK-competition. Even though I sat behind the very same Ddrum-kit on the TV-shows as well, the playback-shit got pretty boring. First of all. Happy Valentine’s Day everybody!
To celebrate that we are playing an acoustic set at Suisto, Hämeenlinna FIN tonight. The first act starts at 9pm and our showtime will be around midnight. It’s a free entry event with the age limit of 18.
On other news. We got a new drum cover out for Otto yesterday. It’s a cover of one of the hottest hip hop songs in Finland at the moment. Salil eka salil vika by Musta Barbaari. […] Read more!
Just recently we uploaded a new drum video. It’s one of the several covers we filmed and recorded a few weeks ago. Seems like I still haven’t ran out of Blink-182 songs to cover, so here’s another Travis Barker classic. The Blink album Take Off Your Pants And Jacket has THE best sounding drums ever made. Actually we try to mimic that namely drum sound on our own recordings too. In addition to the sound, Barker’s playing on that record is also top notch. […] Read more!
Hiya folks, it’s me with the drum covers again. It hasn’t been a long time since the last drum cover came out. While doing that, we actually filmed and recorded quite a bunch of drum covers in a row. Just to get the publishing schedule a bit tighter. So here’s the second video from the mentioned session:
Wait a sec, it’s not Blink or All Time Low?! Sorry to ruin your hopes for yet another Travis or Rian version, but I’ve been trying to find something else to cover, too. […] Read more!
As some of you might already have noticed, we uploaded a fresh new drum cover this weekend! The man I’m covering is the same old dude called Travis, but I just can’t get enough of his drumming. In an inspirational way he’s a bottomless well of good ideas.
Here it is, After Midnight from Neighborhoods album!
Travis relies a lot on rudimentary chops. As a matter of fact, this song required me to rehearse some double stroke rolls in order to get the hihat lick right. […] Read more!
What’s up on Tuesday? We have a new drum cover out: All Time Low’s new single A Love Like War! I guess my cover is among the first takes on the song at YouTube. And that’s because the song itself is still fresh from the oven being released just a while ago.
I’ve been listening to Blink’s self-titled album pretty much lately. Me being a fan of older Blink, some of the songs on the album lean towards a bit too experimental domain, but it has some really cool drum parts. Having said that I have to admit that Travis experiments a lot on those songs too, but for a drummer that’s only inspiring.
